What we doCowboys for Kids (CFK) has a group of dedicated people from all walks of life who volunteer their time and talents to the organization’s many fund raisers and children’s projects such as Family Fall Fest, Santa’s Helper Program, Pumpkin People project, Stick Horse Races, Auction, Bull Riding, Sheep & Steer Riding, Rodeo, Youth Scholarships, fun trips to special events and more. If funds are available, one person is eligible for a small salary; Nearly 100% of all funds raised go directly to projects. The dedication of our supporters has allowed us to donate more than $95,000 in monetary funds to Phoenix area children. The amount is higher when you include services rendered and non-cash donations such as clothes, food, toys, etc. The Santa’s Helper program has reached hundreds of children and the Youth Scholarships provide a helping hand to many deserving students. Cowboys for Kids also provides children and adults a chance to experience the old west — to be a “cowboy for a day.” In our country’s recent past, the cowboy and the rodeo were a way of life. We try to keep that spirit alive and preserve the cultural and historical place of the American Cowboy for future generations to enjoy. Our motto is “Working Together — Making a Difference.” We believe in good, strong community involvement and we work with and donate to other nonprofit organizations in an effort to make a positive impact on family and children’s issues. Our PurposeThe objectives and purposes of this Corporation are those exclusively charitable, educational and scientific and which are or have only a public purpose, all within the purview of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and regulations thereunder, and to exercise any and all corporate powers conferred by law which are consistent with and reasonably necessary and incidental to the objects and purposes of this Foundation. Cowboys for Kids, Inc. raises funds for disadvantaged children, handicapped children, children suffering from illness and all children in need. We strive to give children and their families a chance to build a positive future for themselves and others. The children of today are our leaders of tomorrow. |
